Positive Parenting with Astrology

Welcome to my Parenting page!

As you’ll see, I incorporate astrology into my parenting books. In addition to being an attorney and author, I’m also a practicing astrologer.

How I got into astrology

Now I know what you’re thinking. How does an attorney, who practices banking and corporate law, get into astrology? We Gemini are extremely logical. We deal with facts and logic, not feelings (for the most part). Emotions make us uncomfortable, and we explore them from a curious, detached manner.

On the other hand, we pay attention to patterns because patterns represent evidence. I’ve been studying astrology for my entire life, and I’ve noticed that people tend to exhibit similar patterns, behavior, and motivations based on the planetary energies in their birth charts.

Personal and relationship astrology is essentially the study of an individual’s birth chart, that is, the position of the planets at the exact moment of that individual’s birth. After studying these topics over the years, I came to the conclusion that even if I don’t understand exactly WHY the position of the planets at birth matter, I must admit that there is merit in studying astrology.

So here’s my take on astrology. It is an excellent way to assist with your self-understanding, just like psychology, the Myers-Briggs test, and self-help books. It is another tool in your arsenal to understand yourself, your patterns (most of which were formed in childhood, for better or worse), the manner in which you handle relationships, and what you need to be emotionally and intellectually fulfilled in life. I encourage you to explore all of the above, and more, in figuring out how to navigate your life to get the most of your limited time on this planet.

Your birth chart is your starting point for the reparenting process

Those of us who are reparenting ourselves after childhood trauma find it challenging to determine who we really are. After all, as children many of us were forced to adapt to situations to survive. This dynamic often involves suppressing our own preferences, wants, and needs.

We may have also been shown as children that relationships are quid pro quo. That is, that love and affection are conditional and that we must do things in order to receive love and be worthy. That is not true.

We parents must work to shed this negative conditioning to become better versions of ourselves. Only then are we able to be the best parents possible to our children. Developing this strong relationship involves recognizing and honoring your child’s authentic nature, which is different from your own. Your children are different human beings from you, with different goals, drives, and preferences. It is okay if their preferences differ from yours. Your acceptance of these differences is one of the keys to a close attachment with your child.

In my experience, astrologers seem to be among the most enlightened of parents, because they do not parent from a place of ego. They parent from a place of understanding and empathy, to give their children all the unconditional love and support they need in order to independently live their own lives. They know that soul is more important than ego every time.

I’m sharing all of the resources at my disposal with you to help you on your parenting journey. It is more important that you form an unbreakable bond with your child and listen to them without judgment than that they do all the “right” activities and follow all the “right” rules. By the way, “right” is according to who? According to you? According to your and your children’s soul needs? Or according to what an ego-based society tells you?

Available now on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, and on audiobook at Audible

YourScorpioChild

Want to know all the secrets for handling your intense Scorpio child?

Scorpio is the most misunderstood and enigmatic of all the signs in the zodiac. Much has been written about Scorpio men and women. However, the Scorpio child remains elusive, mostly because Scorpio children do not usually say what is on their mind. Scorpio children are dramatic, suspicious, manipulative, and can seriously try parents’ patience. They are also passionate, loyal, and empathic. The key lies in knowing how to handle their innate characteristics. I hope that you find the information in this book useful.

Your Gemini Child: He’s not Crazy, He’s Just Always in his Head

Available on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, and on audiobook at Audible.

Want to know all the secrets to handling your daydreamy Gemini child who can never sit still?

Gemini children are easily bored and are always daydreaming. Their minds are incredibly active. As soon as they have a thought, they are on to the next one. That is why it appears that they never listen to you.

So how do you get them to pay attention? By understanding how their minds work, by respecting that they are driven more by logic than emotion, by not endlessly lecturing them, and by giving them the freedom to pursue their own interests. This book will show you how to do just that.

Parenting Capricorn children can be challenging because they are typically reserved and reticent. However, they are also extremely loyal and comfortable taking on responsibility. They are also able to sacrifice short-term benefits for longer term gains, just like the goats who take forever to get to the summit of a mountain.
Aquarian children are fun-loving, accepting, and open-minded. They are also mentally scattered. Here’s your primer below on Aquarius children:
