Welcome to Writing Tip Wednesdays!

Every Wednesday I’ll share with you the best writing and publishing tips I can find. I’m always researching how to improve my own writing and how to market my books. Starting now, every Wednesday I’ll send you my curated research, condensed, in one spot. For today:

  1. My Self-Publishing Primer is updated with important info about how to protect your copyrightable works. It’s on sale at AmazonB&N, and Kobo. I’d very much appreciate if you could share the links. Thank you!

(While we’re on the subject of Kobo, Mark Lefebvre’s Killing it on Kobo has some straightforward strategies on how to leverage Kobo to sell books.)

  1. If you’d like to know how to set up your Online Shop to sell your books (so you can keep your sales data)>>get that info here.

  2. And if you’d like to know how to request the use of song lyrics in your books, click here. Song lyrics are copyright-protected, so you’ll need to request permission from the rights holder. Learn how to here.

If you go to www.lawschoolheretic.com, and click on the Category “Self-Publishing” on the left, you’ll get tons of free writing and publishing tips.

Next week I’ll let you know the benefits of Reedsy, the most helpful site of FREE information for authors and publishers.

Please let me know if you have any questions at maria@lawschoolheretic.com. Happy Writing!
