Creativity improves as we get older

I had the honor of being a guest with Lori Saitz on her podcast Fine is a 4-Letter Word. We talked about how young kids exhibit unfiltered creativity, and how we often lose that creative ability as we grow into adults, compelled as we are to see the world through our own lens of conditioning.

HOWEVER, according to positive psychology research, the good news is that as we get older, we get back to the creativity that sparked us as younger kids. Some of us find creative fulfillment through art and, yes, through WRITING. To find out more about it, listen to the podcast here.

I talked to Lori about my own journey to honor my creative energy. Indeed, it’s never too late to take up (or retake up!) your creative interests.

FICTION NEWS

I am super excited about my new espionage thriller featuring a second-chance romance, Lone Wolf. I’m currently querying the manuscript with agents and publishers. To be decided whether I go the traditionally published route or stay with self-publishing. I will keep you updated!

I am also working on a suburban thriller, featuring a Mom and teen son as the lead characters. Think movie The ‘Burbs combined with the movie Rear Windows, plus firearms.

In other news, I cannot believe that I actually have a teen son now. For spring break, I took him to Miami to see a Heat game, and we had so much fun! It’s tough to believe that I only have a few more years with him in the house.
