How to Break Negative Parenting Patterns

I am thrilled to be a guest on The D Shift, Mardi Winder-Adams’ podcast on how to navigate divorce. Most of the parents I work with are divorced or in blended families, making coparenting challenging.

HOWEVER, you can still practice conscious parenting and positive parenting, even if the other parent is not fully on board. It is ESSENTIAL that children have at least one safe person they know they can go to and confide in, who will accept them and listen to them.

In this conversation, Mardi and I discuss:

  • The importance of reparenting
  • How to provide emotional support and validation to children
  • My passion for writing, how it served as an escape during my difficult childhood, and how I turned it into a career

My hats off to you parents who are working on your own healing while also learning how to be better parents to your kids. It’s a tough road and I see you out there doing it!

Hope you are having a wonderful, relaxing holiday season!

Best,
Maria
